Athens, 32 years ago!

I just bought me a filmscanner (the Reflecta Crystalscan 7200) and started to digitilize some of my slides. The older slides appeared to be rather bleached after all those years and the colors very different from what they used to be. Having corrected the white balance, contrast and some other things with Photoshop, however, the results are quite satisfactory in my opinion.

The pictures were made in October 1978 with the tiny, but great Rollei 35B, on a trip for a week to Athens, Greece, with my friend André. Unfortunately the Rollei camera passed away in 1985.

This bridge was built in Krimpen aan den IJssel, Netherlands and destined for Dublin, Ireland. It was transported in one piece. Here it passes the Hefbrug in the port of Rotterdam.
